Established in 1975, McCrite Plaza Topeka was created to provide luxurious senior living to retirees in northeast Kansas.
Since that time, our family-owned and operated senior living community has done just that. We give residents and their families peace of mind through excellent supportive care with a wide variety of services and amenities, all within a beautiful and welcoming community.

McCrite Plaza’s dining room exemplifies comfort with a mix of creativity. Our chefs focus on individual tastes and health when determining their menu of dining choices that range from elevated dishes to traditional comfort food. McCrite Plaza has labored diligently to eliminate any signs of institutionalism. Meals are prepared fresh daily with an emphasis on healthy eating and variety. We take great pride making the Waterford dining experience something that the McCrite Plaza residents look forward to everyday!
In addition to fine dining, residents can enjoy anytime dining which features a unique menu to our community. The dining room is open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. and does not have set meal times or assigned seating.

At this level, residents receive all of the amenities that are included in Independent Living. In addition, they will receive custom-designed support services based on nursing assessment and resident/family input. All services are designed to support the activities of daily living and provide the most independent lifestyle possible. Assisted Living residents receive all of the following:

Our specially designed Memory Care Neighborhood focuses on personalized programming within a comfortable and secure environment. Our entire staff is continuously trained in memory support to give residents and their families peace of mind. McCrite Plaza Topeka offers memory care for our residents to live with independence and dignity in their own apartments.

Each Memory Care resident enjoys the most appropriate level of care and support to remain living as independently as possible. We begin with an individual assessment, identifying needs as well as abilities, and develop a care plan that emphasizes both. We not only provide the support where and when it is needed, we also build confidence and self-esteem through promoting each individual’s retained capabilities. We regularly reassess Memory Care residents to ensure the proper care and support are being delivered.
