When it comes to choosing a senior living community in Kansas City or Topeka, we know that certain things are going to be at the top of your list regarding ongoing healthcare, apartment living options, and the variety of activities that are available to you or your loved one. Since 1975, the team at McCrite Plaza has strived to provide only the very best in independent and assisted senior living in a thriving, active community. Our one and two-bedroom apartments are not only spacious and well-designed, but affordable as well. Retirement is the beginning of an exciting journey filled with new experiences, and the team at McCrite Plaza is dedicated to helping you make the most out of it. We welcome both committed couples and single residents who are truly looking to get the most out of their golden years.

Our Commitment to Couples

McCrite Plaza apartments have been creatively designed to support couples with varying needs of care and support. Just because one spouse needs a higher level of care does not mean that there must be separate living arrangements. Quite the opposite. We utilize every resource available to keep couples together.

The first step in supporting this commitment to couples is through an assessment of physical and psycho-social needs. The McCrite Plaza staff then collaborates with personal physicians and family members to make sure all needs are being met so that couples can stay together.

We encourage you to contact us with inquiries regarding healthcare and support systems for couples in the McCrite Plaza community.

McCrite Plaza Welcomes Veterans

At McCrite Plaza, we welcome veterans of our armed forces to use their Veterans Benefits to help pay for the cost of senior living.

War veterans and their spouses may be eligible to receive nearly $2,000 per month to help defray the cost of assisted living or other non-reimbursed medical care through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Aid and Attendance Program. For more information, contact your Veterans Regional Office at (800) 827-1000.
