Testimonials
At McCrite Plaza Topeka, it really thrills us to know our residents love living here. In fact, many of our residents are eager to share their enthusiasm about their experiences living in our senior living community. We know that it is common – and understandable – that individuals struggle with the decision to move out of their homes. Almost all of them wonder, “Is this the right time?” But the most common remark we hear is, “I wish I had come earlier!”
“We recently moved our mother to McCrite Plaza. She couldn’t be happier and just loves it. She has made so many new friends with the residents and staff. It didn’t take her long to figure out where she wanted to go. Everyone is so willing to help with anything needed, and so accommodating. I would definitely, highly recommend McCrite Plaza for anyone looking for a place to retire. Thank you to the McCrite staff.”

“I had lost my husband and was far away from my children. Taking care of a house and yard were becoming worrisome to me as a single person. This is why I decided to start planning my move to McCrite Plaza.
I enjoy the “oneness” of living here. Everything is in one place and there is no need for me to have to go outside to another building. The administrative personnel are professional and continuously working to maintain and improve living at McCrite.
I enjoy participating in aerobics, yoga and strengthening. Christine, the Wellness Coordinator, does a tremendous job and I appreciate all she does and all she has added to improve our physical activity.”

“My Mom had a brief stay there after being in the hospital. The care she received was so comforting. The staff showed such kindness, concern and compassion for her recovery. She enjoyed it so much she expressed she wished she could stay. As a daughter, you can not ask for more. Thank you McCrite Plaza Staff for going above and beyond.”

“My daughter is a nurse and she was concerned about me being in the house and not having help if I needed it. Even though Stan was there, it was important to my children that I have a place that I could move to and be cared for if I needed assistance as I grew older.
My children looked at Communities before we did, and then they took us to look at the ones that they had previously interviewed and didn’t tell who they had chosen. When I told them that McCrite Plaza was where we wanted to go, there was no question. That was the place that they had also chosen.
We’ve been here five years going on six and enjoy every aspect of being here. The activities and programs are wonderful and the opportunities to be independent are limitless. That’s why we came to McCrites; it’s home.”

“We moved our parents from Arkansas to McCrite Plaza and I don’t see how we could have done it without all the assistance from the McCrite staff. For the level of service given this facility is a great value.”

“I think you could rewrite the lyrics for Home on the Range to say Home at McCrites. Seldom is heard a discouraging word and the residents are happy all day.
People think that you surrender part of your life when you give up your home and move to a Community. When in reality once you are here you understand that you gain a whole lot more than you give up. The only thing I gave up was having to drive 20 miles to be anywhere. Now it’s all right here.”
